The American Melt
A classic stateside topping combo!
- 1 packet of ABE’S Bagels – Natural
- American mustard
- Bread and butter pickles
- 200g of sliced pastrami
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- black pepper
Preheat your oven grill to the highest temperature.
Slice two ABE’S Natural bagels in half and grill until nice and golden.
Remove and smear the bottom half of each bagel with 1-2 tablespoons of American mustard.
Add a layer of bread and butter pickles, followed by the pastrami.
Top with two slices of the cheddar cheese and slide back under the grill until the cheese has melted nicely.
Grind black pepper over your bagel, place the bagel lid on and you’re ready to tackle ‘The American Melt’.
